India's central government has proposed initial moves to phase out the sale of unhealthy food in school canteens. A survey has confirmed apprehensions among health experts that school canteens in India's metros expose kids overwhelmingly to junk food, while healthy options are largely absent from the menu. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) will engage an agency to conduct a nationwide survey on the standard of food supplied in school canteens and suggest measures to improve them.
Our school Canteen serves healthy, nutritious and fresh food throughout the year to students. Breakfast, lunch and departure snacks are provided every day to children. The regular food items cooked in the canteen are meals with fish/meat, Idly sambar, Dosa chutney, Tea and Coffee.
